RS PRO 1 Phase 1.2kVA Variac, 1 Output, 240V, 5A

The RS PRO variac transformer is designed to supply electricity efficiently between two circuits. It regulates well thanks to its continuously variable AC (alternating current) output voltage with overvoltage tap. With a hardwearing, enclosed construction, it requires very little maintenance.

The commutator on this transformer is silver-plated and gives a smooth linear output with zero waveform distortion and integrated overload protection. It has a low operating torque and low magnetising current.

The transformer is easy to mount using screw terminals in a variety of ways – it's designed to allow surface, floor or wall mounting, depending on your requirements. These types of transformers are suited to a range of applications in both industrial environments and around the home, including audio systems and power conversions.
