Need an efficient way to supply electricity between circuits? With its rugged design, this open construction variac transformer from RS PRO is a fine, durable choice. Use it in a range of domestic and industrial settings where minimal maintenance and a long lifespan are crucial.
It features smooth linear output with no waveform distortion due to the transformer's silver-plated commutator. To ensure safe operation, overload capacity is inbuilt as standard. It also has a continuously variable alternating current output voltage with an overvoltage tap to ensure correct regulation. What's more, a low magnetising current and low operating torque make it extremely efficient to run.
Available in both single and three-phase versions as well as a variety of current ratings, this type of open-style variable transformer is well-suited to flash mounting in process control equipment, enclosures and control panels. It's been stringently tested to meet RS PRO's high standards for safety and reliability.
