ABB Eden OSSD Non Contact Safety Switches

The Eden OSSD from ABB is a coded non-contact safety switch. A PLe safety level can be achieved with only one switch per guard and with up to 30 switches connected in series. Installation time is reduced thanks to a compact design, flexible mounting and a large mounting tolerance.
The Eden OSSD increases productivity using an extensive indication and information output that enables troubleshooting and reduces downtime. It also has a large sensing distance for improved tolerance to vibrations and to minimise the risk of involuntary stops.
The safety switch has an IP69K protection class and a wide operating temperature range making it ideal for extreme environments.

Applications

The Eden OSSD non-contact safety switch is suitable for use on doors and hatches as well as position control and sector detection.

Note

Stock nos. 917-6409 and 917-6402 have an information output and 917-6406 and 917-6415 monitor the reset function and manage the reset lamp.
