Fluke Networks Fiber QuickMap Multimode Fibre Optic Test Kit

This Fibre tester is a battery-powered handheld instrument designed to locate high-loss events and measure link distance on multi-mode Fibre using an 850 nm test wavelength. It operates simply with a single Test control and an SC connector, displays numeric loss and distance results within seconds, and checks for Active optical signals before testing. The unit is rugged, uses AA cells and is suitable for field use across typical outdoor temperature ranges.

The unit uses a removable SC adapter as the standard bulkhead.

Distance error combines ±1 m Plus 0.1% of the measured length for reflective incidents and can be refined by adjusting the index of refraction.

It runs on two AA alkaline batteries and operates between 0 °C and 50 °C.

It detects live signals across the multi-mode range and displays an active-line indication before permitting a test.
