Universal joints such as these plain, bored hub models from RS PRO are an essential element in the connection of conveyors, prop shafts and other rotating machinery to a prime mover. They're also crucial in automotive applications for connecting two shafts with axes positioned at an angle to each other.
Use these bored hub-type, single-joint couplings for applications with a maximum speed of 1000 rpm and an operating angle up to 45°. Made from solid steel, the plain bearings have a bore size of 14 mm and a peak torque of 600 Nm. We recommend the use of a protective gaiter and regular lubrication with universal joints, as this will ensure smooth operation and extend their lifetime.
