RS PRO 20 A SP Solid State Relay, DIN Rail, 530 Vrms Maximum Load


This solid-state relay from RS PRO lets you use a low DC voltage to switch circuits carrying a much larger AC voltage. Using an optical light beam to transfer the signal, it offers much faster switching than electromechanical equivalents.

This model operates quietly and uses little power. As it contains no moving parts, it's much less prone to wearing out than a standard electromechanical relay and avoids the risk of sparking from fast-moving components. This type of solid-state relay is common in industrial settings.

The device mounts easily onto a standard 35 mm DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung, or the German Institute of Standardisation) rail. It has a load voltage range of 48 Vrms to 530 Vrms. An LED status indicator shows when power is being supplied.

The IP20-rated housing means it's safe to touch. This kind of relay is found in applications including motor control, robotics and gas/water meters.
