Schneider Electric Bus Coupler - TeSys Island


To assist in the management of a complete island, contributing to the TeSys Island concept is this bus coupler. The coupler acts as the point of connection between a group of starters and an automation controller. Allowing the system to include up to 20 modules, this bus coupler has a Profinet IO communication port protocol.

Features & Benefit


• The functions that are available for this bus coupler are: Full integration with SoMove for the control of the island, one single 24V DC power supply for the complete island, two fieldbus ports for communication with an automation controller and one service port with an embedded webserver for maintenance

• Compatible with: TPRST motor starter, TPRSS SIL motor starter, TPRPM power module, TPRSM SIL interface module, TPRVM voltage interface module, TPRAN analog IO module and TPRDG digital IO module

• Features 2 RJ45, connector female for protocol Profinet IO, fieldbus port 1 RJ45, connector female for protocol Ethernet TCP/ IP, service port 1 micro SD card port integrated connection types

• Local signalling is accomplished via LEDs (Green, yellow and red)

• 24 V DC rated supply voltage

• 3 A maximum rate current and 20.4 to 28.8 V DC rated supply voltage

• Reverse polarity protection for power supply

• The TeSys Island avatar objects and dedicated configuration and maintenance tools provide simplified engineering and commissioning

• Users can have up to 20 modules on 1 island mounted on DIN rail (up to 112 cm length)

• Thanks to the fill connectivity over fieldbus, no control or auxiliary wiring are required

• There is no need for mechanical dials or dip switches due to all the adjustments and settings being digitised
