Schneider Electric TeSys Island SIL Interface Module - TPRSM001


Designed for the implementation of a safe stop within SIL motor starters (TPRSS) is this SIL interface module from Schneider Electric. The module forms part of the TeSys Island range of products, it also offers a safe stop for safety-related systems. Please note that this system is only operational when connected to the TPRBC bus coupler.

• The function of the interface module is to safe stop, it has 1 NC or 2 NC contacts for monitoring

• Compatible with TPRBC bus coupler and the TPRSS SIL motor starter

• The rated operational voltage for the input/output circuit is 24 V DC

• Featured a rated insulation voltage for the input/output circuit is 50 V

• The rated pulse withstand voltage is 2 kV

• Isolated switch input type for safe stop

• The input protection type is internal, electronic

• Input voltage - 15...28.8 V DC state 1 and 0...5 V DC state 0

• Relay instantaneous opening output type with 1 NO circuit(s)

• The local signalling for this interface module is achieved via 1 LED fir device status and 1 LED for safe stop status - both have red and green indicators

• Manages motors electrical loads of up to 80 A (AC-3)/37 kW/40 hp

• Features fieldbus connectivity via bus coupler for Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, PROFINET or PROFIBUS

• There are relevant load data available, such as current, power, energy and advanced diagnostic data

• The TeSys Island avatar objects and dedicated configuration and maintenance tools provide simplified engineering and commissioning

• Users can have up to 20 modules on 1 island mounted on DIN rail (up to 112 cm length)

• Thanks to the fill connectivity over fieldbus, no control or auxiliary wiring are required

• There is no need for mechanical dials or dip switches due to all the adjustments and settings being digitised

• A limited number of references including 5 starter sizes, digital & analog I/Os and voltage measurement modules

• Embedded Cybersecurity (Achilles Level 2)

• There is a SIL starter available, designed for the integration into functional safety systems which are according to IEC 61508, IEC 62061 and ISO 13849-1, including TUV certification (Stop 0 and 1 with wiring categories 1 to 2, suitable for PL c, d and SIL level 2
