The STMicroelectronics RFID tag IC with 16-Kbit EEPROM and protection are NFC and RFID tags, with, respectively, 64 Kbit of electrically erasable programmable memory (EEPROM). These devices act as a contactless memory accessed through an RF link, following ISO/IEC 15693 or NFC Forum Type 5 recommendations, and are powered by the received carrier electromagnetic wave.
