ABB Contactor, 22kW Power Rating, 100A Contact Current Rating - AF Series - 1SBL367001R1100 AF52-30-00-11

This contactor from ABB is designed to switch power to the electric circuits of a device on and off. A contact voltage rating of 690V AC and a current rating of 100A make it suitable for use in heavy-duty equipment. Thanks to its broad operating temperature range between -40°C and +70°C, this unit can withstand harsh environments. It comes with integrated surge protection, eliminating the need for an external surge suppressor and saving space in tight setups.

Features & Benefits

• Screw terminals for simple installation and stable electrical connections

• Power rating of 22kW for reliability in high-power operations

Applications

• Lighting fixtures

• Electric motors

• Consumer electronics

• Safety systems

• Transformers

How does this contactor work?

When current passes through the integrated electromagnetic coil of the contactor, this creates a magnetic field that activates the contacts to move in a specific way based on their design. As this is a normally open contactor, the contacts will come together, closing and allowing the current to flow through the circuit. When the power is cut off, the contacts will re-open, causing the circuits to be de-energised.
