MCP9509/10 Resistor-Programmable Temperature Switches
The MCP9509/10 series of temperature switches are controlled by an external resistor with various programmable options such as switch hysteresis and output structure configurations. This enables the designer to customize their temperature control applications according to their requirements.
Typical applications include temperature alarms, thermostat controls, fan control, base-stations, automotive and power supply thermal shut-down.

The Microchip MCP9509 resistor programmable temperature switch can be programmed with a single external resistor, which provides high design flexibility and simplicity. It operates voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V. This switch provide user programmable features such as 2°C and 10°C (typical) switch hysteresis and output structure configuration.
