Compact Electronic Stethoscope Kit
The Compact STE-3 is an electronic stethoscope kit that helps locate and evaluate bearing or machine noise for maintenance diagnosis. The kit includes a stethoscope, headphones, 70mm stainless steel probe, 300mm stainless steel probe and instruction leaflet. This stethoscope operates using a piezo-transducer and is designed for digital volume control in 32 steps. The analogue output can be fed into an audio tape recorder (not supplied) for further analysis or use as a reference for future comparisons. The headphones of this stethoscope are equipped with two adjustable ear taps with a 2 m cable. It can measure the frequency ranging between 30Hz and 15KHz plus used for acoustic engine diagnosis.
