RS PRO Standard Thermocouple Connector for Use with Type J Thermocouple, RoHS Compliant Standard

This RS PRO Type J in-line connector plug is used with Type J thermocouples. The units are capable of taking readings from more dated equipment and their components have a maximum operating temperature of +200°C.

These highly versatile plugs are safely encased in glass-filled thermoplastic and have a negative copper-nickel leg and positive iron leg. Type J thermocouple connectors stand up well to sustained temperatures up to +200°C but display shorter lifespans at higher temperatures. This is due to the iron pin undergoing a molecular change. The plugs should not be used in high moisture applications as their iron elements will rust.

All of RS PRO's thermocouples and connectors are stamped with a letter indicating the material used in their construction. This helps you to determine the temperature range they're suited to.
