Why are compression fittings useful for temperature sensors? It's because they provide a permanent protective casing that still allows you to remove your thermocouple sensor, without the hassle of any downtime.

Forming part of RS RRO’s thermocouple compression fittings range, this sliding connector is made from rust-resistant stainless steel. The connector makes it easy to remove a thermometer for maintenance or repairs without dismantling too many components. Your thermometer can also be put back again easily. This sliding connector can be used with a 1 mm diameter probe and has a connector size of M6.

RS PRO supplies both 316L stainless steel and PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) thermocouple compression fittings, as well as stainless steel or PTFE oval connector fittings. This component is RoHS compliant and meets the European Union's directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
