Designed for use with SKF's range of heavy-duty pillow blocks, it easily fits behind the enclosed shaft of the block to catch dust and moisture, preventing damage to the internal mechanism. The seal's felt material is treated with oil to increase its resistance to water, mud and pressurised lubricants like those found in piston-based applications.
