The STMicroelectronics NFC reader is a high-performance universal device designed for NFC charging, payment, and consumer applications. It supports NFC initiator, NFC target, NFC reader, and NFC card emulation modes. Compliant with EMVCo 3.1a analog and digital standards, it is optimized for demanding POS Terminal applications, ensuring fast EMVCo certification cycles even in harsh conditions with antennas placed behind noisy LCD displays. Featuring high RF power with dynamic power output, it efficiently drives antennas and enables large interaction distances, even with small antennas used in access control and EMVCo readers. It also offers long-range and low-power card detection by measuring I and Q channels to analyze the amplitude and phase of the antenna signal.
