Festo Plug Connector, 2.5m Length, 3.4mm Diameter - KMYZ-2-24-M8-2.5-LED

Need to fit a solenoid valve with a self-tapping screw? This plug connector from Festo is suitable for linking vacuum generators VAD-MYB, VADM, VADMI and multi-pin distributor MPV to V solenoids with an M3 central screw in any assembly position. The 2.5m cable offers flexibility when setting up your system. Bronze electrical contacts ensure good conductivity and reliable transmission of the signal. It's IP65 (ingress protection) rated, meaning it's dust-tight and will stand up to jets of water. The operating temperature range of -10°C to +50 °C makes it suitable for use in a wide variety of industrial environments.

• LED (light-emitting diode) switching position indicator foreasy monitoring

• M8 plug is compatible with a wide range of equipment

• Polyamide (PA) sheath for abrasion resistance

Applications

• Pneumatic equipment

• Pick-and-place systems

• Printing presses

What is a solenoid?

A solenoid is a coil of wire that's used to generate an electromagnetic field. This can be used to move a ferromagnetic plunger to open a valve and control the flow of gases or fluids.

Why are solenoids used to control vacuum pumps?

Solenoids offer an energy-efficient means of controlling the airflow in vacuum systems. They offer fast cyclings times, are easy to maintain and can operate in extreme temperatures.
