RS PRO Ceiling Mounted Microwave Presence Detectors


From RS PRO comes a range of high quality ceiling mounted microwave presence/absence detectors. Manufactured to industry standard these microwave presence/absence detectors have been designed to provide automatic control of lighting loads with optional manual control.

Features and benefits:


  • Highly sensitive microwave detector

  • Can be used on incandescent, fluorescent and compact fluorescent lighting.

  • IP40 rated

  • Minimum operating temperature of -10°C and maximum operating temperature of +50°C

  • Frequency of 50Hz

  • Maximum detection range of 30m

  • Unique adjustable sensor head which allows the area of detection to be optimised for the application.

  • Using the optional user handset (796-2097), users can control both the output lux levels and lights on/off override. This is achieved through the integral IR sensor in the unit.

What is an IP rating?


An IP rating or International Protection rating classifies the degrees of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects. In this instance, these microwave presence detectors have an IP40 rating which provides protection from tools and small wires greater than 1 millimeter.

Occupancy Lighting Controllers


Lighting controllers designed for use within offices and warehouses. Available with dual sensors for detecting ambient light and physical movement. Outputs are in the form of switch contacts (standard types). A dimming control output version is available for use with electronic ballasts. This can control up to 10 ballasts, ideal where daylight compensation is required with constant ambient light.
