Use this optical sensor level switch from Sensata Cynergy3 to detect when liquid in a tank reaches a predetermined level. The unit is protected against false triggering caused by foam, so you can rely on it for accurate results. Its polysulfone body is resistant to heat, and it has a broad operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C for use in harsh environments. An optical liquid level sensor like this one is commonly used in general applications, such as vending machines.

Where should I mount this optical sensor level switch?


This sensor is designed for mounting on the exterior of the tank, so there's no need to access the inside. You can mount it on either the side or bottom of the tank for flexible installation. The device shouldn't be mounted on the top of the tank with the cone facing downwards.
