Sureseal and Mini Sureseal Tooling


Tooling for the crimping and insertion of Sure-Seal and Mini Sure-Seal contacts

The insertion tool is required to push the crimped contacts into the plugs and receptacles

The guide pin is only required for the Sure-Seal range, being used to aid the insertion of the female contacts

The crimp tool is compatible for both Sure-Seal and Mini Sure-Seal contacts

Developed to meet the increased requirements for safety and reliability in the automotive field these sealed connectors satisfy all of the parameters defined by automotive/industrial standards covering such areas as vibration, shock, salt water spray, industrial gas, low millivolt drop and low contact resistance.

The simple, one-piece moulded body means that no other parts, apart from the contacts, are required to complete the connection

The plugs and receptacles are polarised to prevent mis-mating, by means of 2 stepped planes on each of the mating faces, which must be properly oriented in order for the contacts to engage

The mated connectors are IP67 rated and sealing integrity is still maintained with exposure to brake fluid, gasoline, diesel fuel, anti-freeze, ultra-violet, ozone and steam cleaning under normal operating conditions

Cable Boots, see for example, stock no. 167-9540 to seal the wired cable jacket to the connector housing are available and must be ordered separately.

Sure-Seal connectors incorporate many features:

The mini Sure-Seal range of connectors offers all the advantages of the ITT Sureseal product but with reduced size. The compact design coupled with resistance to brake fluid, anti-freeze, fuels and steam cleaning enables the connector to be used in any harsh environment area of the vehicle.
