The Portwest Knit FR Balaclava is a flame-resistant garment that retains its shape wear after wear. Its high cotton content provides maximum comfort against the skin, while the inherently anti-static fabric protects against the thermal hazard of an electric arc. Made from Modaflame Knit—an innovative blend of 60% modacrylic, 39% cotton, and 1% carbon fibre—this balaclava is strong, durable, and soft without any chemical treatment. It meets high safety standards including EN ISO 11612, EN 1149-5, and ASTM F1959/F1959M-12, ensuring excellent thermal and arc protection.
