Bernstein AG Emergency Stop Foot Switch

The Bernstein AG 616 series single pedal, momentary contact emergency stop foot switch has double normally open and single normally closed as normal state configuration. It is red and made of aluminium. This foot switch has a rated insulation voltage of 400VAC, rated operational voltage of 240V and conventional thermal current of 10A.

Function:

1. Operation of pedal up to pressure point:

The work contact is closed and the work process is initiated.

2. In an emergency, operate beyond the pressure point resistor:

The work contact is stopped and locked and the work process is stopped. Furthermore, when the pedal is not in operation, interlocking stays in the OFF position. An uncontrolled recovery or a restart of moveable machine parts are to be avoided.

3. Lock release:

Contacts can only be again manually (push button actuator on side of housing) after the potentially dangerous situation is rectified, the work process can be reinitiated by operating the pedal up to the pressure point.
