Need a long-reach float switch for use with aggressive liquids? This vertical float switch from Sensata Cynergy3 is made from corrosion-resistant 316L-grade stainless steel to withstand exposure to harsh conditions. The single-float switch offers high (make on rise) and low (make on fall) level indications for use in alarms and control systems. It can be used at pressures of up to 10 bar, making it suitable for heavy-duty applications. You'll commonly find it used for applications in the petrochemical industry, as well as for liquid storage and process control.

What does a float switch consist of?

Float switches have a simple construction consisting of a reed switch and a pivoted magnet. They can be used for normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) operation. Rotating the switch through 180° reverses the action.

How should I install this switch?

A vertical float switch like this one is designed for screw-mounting through the top or bottom of a tank. For safety, the mounting thread and cable entry must be above the highest level of the liquid in the tank.
