Regulators, also referred to as pressure regulators are devices used to regulate air and maintain a stable source of pressure for a wide range of process control equipment. High pressure enters the regulator through an inlet and into the valve chamber where an adjustable knob operates a spring to generate a force, causing the valve to open. This applies pressure to a piston that causes the valve to close until the required amount of pressure is maintained and regulated.
