This adapter is a USB-C multiport docking accessory that consolidates video, data and network connections through a single USB-C or Thunderbolt 3/4 laptop port. It uses DP1.4 Alt Mode with MST to drive up to three external monitors while providing additional USB-A ports, SD and microSD card access, a Gigabit Ethernet Interface and a dedicated USB-C power-delivery pass-through port for host charging. The unit is bus-powered with host adapter support and requires a compatible host port for full functionality.

The host USB-C port must support USB-C Power Delivery, DisplayPort Alt Mode with MST and DP1.4 with DSC for full triple-4K performance.

When connected to a USB-C power adaptor, the pass-through port accepts 100W PD with 15W reserved for the adapter and up to 85W available to the host.

The unit provides one HDMI 2.0b and two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs and relies on the laptop’s integrated or discrete GPU to deliver uncompressed video with minimal CPU usage.

The hub includes four USB-A ports: two at USB 5Gbps and two at USB 480Mbps for a mix of high-speed and legacy devices.
