Need to take precision measurements in machine-shop applications? This digital dial indicator from RS PRO can be used to take measurements in the range 0 mm to 12.7 mm, to within ±0.015 mm accuracy.
With a dial that rotates 360˚ the dial is easy and versatile to use. The convenient five-button operation allows you to select the mode, including a run-out mode with a digital fan to indicate the degree of run-out. A centre lug-back fitting makes it easy to mount the indicator by its backing plate.
The device conforms to the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) 878 standard as a safe and effective mechanical dial gauge. Dial indicators such as this are commonly used in machine shops to check the variation in tolerance of a machined part. They're also commonly used for registering or indicating small measurements.
