A multi-purpose steel frame crimping tool for terminating AMP and Western Electric Style data plugs in all the popular configurations. Employing a parallel action jaw closure, the tool will accept any one of the die sets using a very simple thumb screw lock located at the front of the jaws. The tool has a ratchet action crimping cycle, with quick release should jamming occur. No setting is required.,Providing a durable and consistent termination the tool is supplied (without die sets) either on its own or in a strong plastic carrying case. The case includes compartments to store up to 4 die sets. Instructions for crimping are included. The die set for shielded plugs is included with shield termination kit stock no. 455-242.
