Eaton Off-On Control Station Switch - DPST, Polyamide, Black, IP66

Eaton CEAG Crouse-Hinds explosion-protected control station switches are designed specifically for industrial use in hazardous area environments and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations, in particular chemical and offshore plants. A large actuator surface allows for operation even when wearing gloves and a protective collar prevents accidental operation.

Designed for electrical automation and control environments, control station switches are commonly found in push button stations where users may be next to a machine or sitting at a control desk, within suspended operator panels or in a control panel. This explosion-protected control station switch from Eaton CEAG Crouse-Hinds is designed for use in hazardous industrial environments. It's used to switch lights on and off in Zone 1 and 2 explosive atmospheres at currents of up to 16A and voltages of 250V AC. The DPST (double-pole single-throw) contact configuration means the switch completely isolates the supply from the load to enhance safety. A large surface area makes this switch easy to operate even when you're wearing gloves, while a protective collar prevents accidental operation. It's ideal for use in chemical manufacturing and offshore power plants.

• Polyamide (PA) enclosure material with special steel (AISI 316 L) screw connectors for impact resistance and corrosion prevention

Also known as surgical stainless steel, AISI 316 stainless steel is a chromium-nickel alloy. It's easily shaped and welded, highly resistant to corrosion and can perform well in a wide range of temperatures (-150°C to +950°C), so it's suitable for use in harsh conditions.
