Knobs are used in a wide variety of applications in our day-to-day lives and perform many functions, from being used as fixed handles to being used to tighten, loosen, adjust, clamp and push other components or pieces of equipment. From RS PRO comes these knurled knobs for self-assembly, allowing you to turn socket head cap screws into complete thumb screw knobs. Made from Dupont’s high-performance acetal resin, Delrin, these thumb screw knobs benefit from high resistance to creep and fatigue, high toughness, and high tensile strength and stiffness, all while still being a lightweight material.

A socket head cap screw is inserted into the base of the knob by pressing firmly and squarely together. It is advised that a stop or a spacer equivalent to the diameter of the screw head is placed between the screw head and the inside of the knob to avoid over-pressure.
