RS PRO Braided Acrylic Fibreglass Brown Cable Sleeve, 4mm Diameter, 5m Length

A lightweight and flexible acrylic resin coated fibreglass braided cable sleeve. The sleeving is very versatility and has a high thermal rating allowing it to be used for applications in many consumer appliances vsuch as lighting fixtures, stoves, and ovens. Along with furnace controls, relays, breaker panels, switchgear, and other commercial and industrial apparatus.

Braided sleeving with its flexible and durable design provides an effective and easy to use cable management solution for containing individual cables or bundles of cables. This braided cable sleeve is lightweight and flexible and provides a protective covering and insulation for wires and cables. This sleeving can also be used as a cable management sleeve to keep your wires tidy and in wire harness applications. The unique properties and mechanical strength that this braided sleeve offers make it ideal for protecting electrical cables and terminals from damage in high abrasion applications including motors and transformers, lighting applications and domestic appliances

Select the cable sleeving diameter you require and cut the sleeve to the correct length, scissors can be used but If the sleeve is not cut correctly it can fray. To prevent fraying use a hot cutting tool such as a hot knife or a soldering iron with a sharp tip. Slice the cable braid using even pressure to leave an evenly sealed edge on the material. Once the sleeve is cut to size simply push and slide the cable sleeving into place over the cable or fittings.
