RS PRO AAA Battery Holder, Coil Spring Contact


The RS PRO AAA battery holder is used for inserting cells into battery compartments. It has two nickel-plated steel coiled springs that press against the battery terminals to make electrical contact. Holding two AAA cells in parallel, it delivers an output voltage of 3 V.

The electrical output travels via two colour-coded, unterminated leads, which be soldered or crimped to a printed circuit board or another wire. The device can also connect to two different terminals, such as a press stud battery contact and a ferrule.

Mount the battery holder onto the chassis of the enclosing compartment by using the three pre-drilled mounting holes on the base. The unit measures 52.3 mm by 24.7 mm by 13 mm and is made of black polypropylene (PP) material, which has a high resistance to chemicals. It can be used in small electrical devices at temperatures up to +82°C.
