Kestrel 5200 Professional Weather Meter Non LiNK


The Kestrel 5200 covers a complete suite of environmental measurements plus special features designed to aid HVAC technicians, construction and agriculture professionals, the Kestrel 5200 outperforms the competition as the most compact and complete environmental meter and data logger for all professional uses.

Construction

The Kestrel 5200 carries built-in evaporation rate calculations and displays the result direct to screen with no human calculation or interpretation errors. This data enables effective decisions regarding addition of additives to the mix or curing adjustments, preventing costly plastic shrinkage cracks. The integral anemometer allows you to monitor and log on-site wind speeds ensuring safe operation of cranes. The heat index calculations can be utilised to advise on safe working conditions, rest periods and rehydration volumes.

HVAC

Volume air flow calculations are made incredibly simple just input the duct shape and dimensions and move the Kestrel 5200 across the duct. You’ll get immediate and average volume air flow without the need for any geometry or calculations. readings that greatly assist in commissioning and servicing HVAC systems. In addition, the Kestrel 5200 also measures moisture content in the air, useful when specifying dehumidification requirements.

Agriculture

The Delta T functionality measures the spread between the wet bulb temperature and the dry bulb temperature (in degrees C). This offers a quick guide to determining acceptable spraying conditions. For example, it is not recommended to apply pesticides when Delta T is above 10 - a range of 2 to 8 is ideal. With the Kestrel 5200, the calculation is done for you, accurately and simply.

The Kestrel 5200 also calculates and logs over 10,000 sets of time-stamped data.

There are two versions of Kestrel 5200:

With the standard Kestrel 5200 ( 914-0006 ) data can be transferred using the K5000 USB Data Transfer Cable ( 914-0019 ) (sold separately) to a Windows/Mac device. The free of charge Kestrel LiNK App will allow you to view and hold all data as well as download into .csv format.

The Kestrel 5200 LiNK version has Bluetooth connectivity ( 914-0009 ) allowing you to transfer data wirelessly to an iOS (iPhone, iPad) device or Android smartphone or tablet when within range using the appropriate Kestrel LiNK App. You can also transfer data wirelessly to a Windows or Mac computer using the optional Kestrel Bluetooth USB Dongle ( 914-0028 ) (sold separately). Data can be viewed live on the App up to 100 feet away (line of sight).
