    Spanners, Sockets & Wrenches

Spanners are hand tools designed to tighten or loosen hexagonal bolts or nuts in mechanical and construction applications. When the correct sized spanner is used, it will grip the chosen bolt or nut and then require the strength of the user to apply enough force to complete the desired movement.

We have an extensive range of spanners, including singular spanners in a wide variety of sizes, spanner sets, combination spanners, ratchet spanners, C-spanners, hook spanners, and components and accessories. If you are in the market for multiple spanners, consider getting a ratchet spanner set.

    Sockets

Sockets are tools used in conjunction with torque or socket wrenches or ratchets to aid in the fastening or loosening of nuts and bolts. Sockets provide more contact points between the tool and nut/bolt, allowing more torque to be applied and reducing the risk of rounding the nut/bolt head.

There are several types of sockets available, including regular/non-impact sockets, impact sockets, and socket sets. We also have a selection of socket accessories, which includes bit adapters, handles, and extension sets.

    Wrenches

A wrench is one of the most common tools found in any toolkit, which is why it is important to ensure you have a strong, high-quality, and durable wrench in your collection. Used by everyone from engineers to plumbers and automotive technicians to DIY enthusiasts, wrenches are available in many shapes and sizes and here at RS, we have a wide selection for you to choose from.

    Nut Drivers

Nut drivers are handheld tools used to manually tighten or loosen nuts. They are similar in design and function to a screwdriver; however, nut drivers have a hexagonal socket at the end of the shaft to tighten nuts. Because of their shape, nut drivers are also commonly referred to as hex drivers. Nut drivers vary in tip size and often are sold as part of a set.

Our range covers everything you could need, from your typical wrench to socket and torque wrenches, breaker bars, and cross wrenches.
