Tinker Edge T is a small and powerful Single Board Computer (SBC) from Asus that boasts a NXP i.MX 8M System-on-Chip, Quadcore ARM Cortex processor and integrated GC7000 Lite Graphics. It benefits from Google Edge TPU MLU accelerator coprocessor, a Neural Network Accelerator Processor (NPU) that runs Machine Learning (ML) inference in a high-efficiency manner, and the NPU is optimised for handling neural networks, bringing artificial intelligence (AI) from the cloud to local devices. It supports Linux Mendel OS.

Tinker Edge T can perform up to 4 TOPS (tera-operations per second) with the built-in Edge TPU AI accelerator, using only 2 watts at maximum loading. The onboard NPU provides high-performance ML inferencing.;The Edge TPU is optimised for TensorFlow Lite models, meaning Tinker Edge T can run and easily compile common ML models. Tinker Edge T is highly efficient compared to desktop-grade x86 CPU, when performing inference across many popular models.
