The IEC chassis plugs feature industry standard 6.3 mm (1/4 inch) Faston terminals enabling rapid termination, no specialist tooling is required. Once the desired cut-out is made, these IEC C14 connectors simply snap-in to the panel and are securely retained by top and bottom spring-loaded tabs. Constructed from durable black Nylon 66 material, the RS PRO IEC C14 connectors are extremely robust and hardwearing. An IEC C14 connector is sometimes referred to as a ’cold’ connector. The IEC panel plug is a 3 wire two pole connector, neutral, earth and live. The C14 male connectors have a rated current of 10A and a maximum temperature rating of 70°C. This series of connectors conform to a recognised set of specifications called IEC-60320. The regulations are laid down by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission). This ensures they meet common global design standards.
