TM21P series Cat 5e modular RJ45 shielded plugs that conform to the requirements of the TIA/EIA-568B data wiring standard meeting the transmission performance of Enhance Cat5. These RJ45 plugs support Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) and Fast Ethernet (100BASE-TX) high-speed LAN transmission. A 360° metal shield provides EMI protection to the engagement area of these RJ45 connectors. When the plug is mated, the corresponding connector shield surfaces are connected to provide a continuous circuit. The connector is supplied with a single piece cover which snaps together and can be fitted after the plug has been assembled onto the cable. This cover also extends over release tab of the connector and protects it from breakage. TM21P series Cat 5e RJ45 plug connectors can be terminated to solid or stranded cable and feature a guide plate to assist with assembly. All models are highly reliable and excellent quality.
