Looking to make your own test leads, then consider the RS PRO 4 mm male right angled banana plug. This connector plug is the ideal solution for making test leads to your specification. Upon inspection, the banana plug offers fully shrouded high-grade plastic, centre contact made from nickel-plated brass and a bulbous split contact with insulating tip. It accepts test lead cables with a 4 mm dia.

There are many variations of banana plug connectors so it’s important to have a variety of cable leads of various lengths especially if you frequently use multi-meters, voltage meters, or oscilloscopes. They are useful for servicing connector plugs that are damaged or have become faulty.
