RS PRO Green 0.2 mm² Equipment Wire, 24 AWG, 7/0.2 mm, 500m, PVC Insulation

These wires are intended for internal wiring applications in electrical and electronic equipment, they meet the requirements of IEC 189-3. Earth wires are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of BS 4808 Part 2. They are marked with longitudinal green and yellow stripes in accordance with BS 6004 for wires intended for use as an earth connection.

Hook up wire, or copper wire/equipment wire as it's also called is primarily used for low voltage and current applications. Copper strands are sheathed by a cover (usually PVC) and act as the conductor of electricity to power its target. Bi-coloured yellow/green is not intended for earth wires.
