Part of Festo's comprehensive range of products for factory automation, this fieldbus plug is used to connect switching devices in real-time control settings. It uses a 9-pin sub-D connection and follows the PROFIBUS protocol typical for valve connections, so it's compatible with your existing components. You can read the position of the DIL (dual inline) switch externally, allowing you to monitor the plug's performance easily. The connector also features a compact design that's simple to install in modular systems. When assembled, it has an IP67 rating, meaning it's sealed against dust and can withstand submersion in up to a metre of water.
