IEEE 488 50 WAY CABLE MOUNT PLUG
A D-sub connector is a straightforward way of linking input and output devices. This RS PRO 50-way cable mount plug has a double row of pins and is designed to couple with a compatible female connector.
The robust D-shaped metal cover provides a supportive shield for the connector and makes sure the plug stays in position once paired. The housing material is made from a polymer known as PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), which provides effective insulation. Its solder bucket terminations are tin-plated to guard against corrosion and a rubber gland on the cable helps to keep dirt and dust out of the unit.
